A Man was arrested over rape of landlord’s 11-yr-old daughter

 

A 52-year-old man identified as Yunusa, has been arrested by the police in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, for allegedly defiling the 11-year-old daughter of a landlord in the Gosa-Toge suburb of the FCT.

A resident of the area identified as Musa, said the accused lured the girl with some money, into his room at about 7pm on Saturday, July 20, and forcefully raped her.

The witness said though the landlord and Yunusa did not stay in the same compound, the accused might have taken advantage of the girl whom all the tenants usually send on errands.

"Yunusa had sent the girl on the errand and when she returned, he lured her into his room where he had carnal knowledge of her.

The girl’s mother raised alarm about her whereabouts when she did not turn up for dinner and she was directed to the Yunusa’s room by another neighbour who saw when the girl went to buy something for him from his shop.

When the mother and one of the brothers went in search of her, the girl was seen in the tenant’s room half naked,” Musa said.

He added that the discovery drew the attention of youths who beat descended on Yunusa and beat him to a pulp before he was rescued and handed over to the police at the Gosa Police Outpost.
