Extortion Man summoned for imitating Osinbajo on Facebook
A 44-year-old man has been summoned under the watchful eye of an Osogbo Magistrates court for mimicking Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Facebook.
One Eseosasere Gift Osifo has been summoned under the watchful eye of an Osogbo Magistrates' Court, on Thursday, September 22, on affirmations of pantomime and extortion.
The 44-year-old man was blamed for making a Facebook profile with the points of interest of the Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo, to dupe clueless casualties.
Central Legal Officer, Department of State Services, Mr Onoche Ekwom, who was the prosecutor, told the court that the blamed submitted the offenses amongst January and August 2016 preceding his capture.
Ekwon uncovered that the blamed had blackmailed cash from a few clueless casualties before falling into a trap with the last casualty, which in the long run prompted his capture.
The offenses repudiated Sections 484 and 422 of the Criminal Code, Cap 34, Vol. 11, Laws of Osun, 2002.
In any case, the charged argued not liable to the two-tally of pantomime and extortion.
The Magistrate, Mrs Sodamade Fatimoh, conceded the blamed safeguard in the whole for N500,000 and two sureties in the like entirety, who must live inside the court's purview with proof of expense installment, and additionally two travel permits appended to a sworn statement of means.
Sodamade included that one of the sureties must be a government worker on Grade level 12 and the other, a nearby connection of the charged. She later suspended the case to November 21 for hearing.
