World News: UK police safeguard driver in cable car crash that executed 7

English police say the driver of a cable car that crashed in London, slaughtering seven individuals, has been discharged on safeguard. The 42-year-old man, who has not been freely named, was captured after the crash on doubt of murder.
English Transport Police said Thursday he had been safeguarded until May while the examination proceeds.


The cable car fell off the rails while adjusting a tight bend in south London's Croydon region early Wednesday. Seven individuals were slaughtered and more than 50 harmed. Crisis specialists worked for quite a long time to free a few people caught in the destruction.

Mishap examiners say the cable car seems to have been "going at a fundamentally higher speed" than the allowed 12 miles for each hour (20 kph). One hypothesis under scrutiny is whether the driver nodded off.
