African News: African Leaders Head to Maine for Public Management Program


LEWISTON, Maine (AP) — Fellows from 18 African nations are set to visit Lewiston and meet with Somali migrants.
The Sun Journal reports (http://bit.ly/2eM4v2l ) that 25 beneficiaries of the Mandela Washington Fellowships for Young African Leaders are booked to come full circle a month and a half in Maine with the Wednesday visit.

The partnership program is a piece of the Young African Leaders Initiative propelled by previous President Barack Obama.

The Immigrant Resource Center of Maine's illustrative Fatima Hussein says that nearby Somali foreigners will examine touching base in the focal Maine people group 17 years back as an uprooted people and building group.

People in general is welcome to a Wednesday evening gathering at Lewiston Public Library.

The 25 people in the administration and open administration program work in fields, for example, natural life preservation, environmental change, emotional well-being and water inquire about.
