Keane moved to Everton in a £30m bargain on Monday.
Burnley got a club-record charge of £25m forthright with a further £5m in additional items.
Dyche trusts it was the correct move for the 24-year-old focus back.
He revealed to Burnley's authentic site: "The truth was that Michael was presumably going to proceed onward.
"It's not about him needing to leave - it's only a characteristic movement.
"Most would agree that Everton have been in the Premier League for quite a while and they're hoping to get much more grounded.
"They're making a major venture there now and it's a correct move at the perfect time for him.
"There comes a period for some of these players when it's likely suitable they proceed onward and I think on this event it is.
"Presently I believe he's in a better than average place to go on and take his vocation on again and we can just say thanks to him for what he has done.
"He has been an incredible worker for us, both on and off the pitch."
