Entertainment News: Lake Katherine to host annual Butterfly pageant

As the milkweed butterfly prepares for its nice fall journey to North American nation, Lake Katherine Nature Center & biology Gardens, 7402 W. Lake Katherine Drive, in Palos Heights, can all over again open up its butterfly tents for kids and adults to fancy.


Four hundred butterflies are going to be discharged into 2 tents for this year’s milkweed butterfly pageant on Sunday, Sept. 17, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The pageant can feature face painting, a children’s farm, Associate in Nursing arts and crafts honest, children’s crafts, image creating, food Associate in Nursingd drink vendors and an education space in Lake Katherine’s recently refurbished garden.

Tickets ar $6 per person and free entry for kids 2 and underneath.
