NEWS: NNPC, accomplices give N11bn to battle coronavirus


The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and its accomplices in the oil and gas segment on Friday reported a gift of $30m (N11bn) to help battle the coronavirus pandemic and its chaperon sway on the Nigerian economy.


NNPC's Group Managing Director, Mele Kyari, declared the intercession finance in the interest of the oil firm and its accomplices.

He said the mediation was in accordance with the Federal Government's progressing endeavors to check the spread of the feared infection in the nation.

Other industry players that banded together the NNPC to make the intercession are the Niger Delta Petroleum Resources Ltd, Oando Oil Limited, Oriental Energy Resources Ltd, Pilar Oil Limited, Platform Petroleum Limited, Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc and Shoreline Natural Resources.

The national oil firm additionally recorded Suntrust Oil Company Nigeria Limited, Vertex Energy Limited, Waltersmith Petroleum Oil Limited and Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum Limited, among others..
